Two payroll industry award events are to be held in November this year. They provide a valuable opportunity for those working in Payroll and related activities to put forward the names of the individuals and businesses that represent the very best in Payroll.

The Institute of Payroll and Pensions Management (IPPM) is holding its 2nd Annual IPPM Awards ceremony on Wednesday, 9 November 2005, on the opening day of its Annual Conference at the Chesford Grange Hotel, Kenilworth, Warwickshire. There are five awards categories:

1. IPPM Person of the Year
2. IPPM Manager of the Year
3. IPPM Innovation Award
4. IPPM Employer of the Year
5. IPPM Team of the Year

A few days later, Pay Magazine is holding its 11th Annual Pay Awards ceremony at London's Park Land Hotel on Monday, 14 November 2005. This year there are 13 awards categories:

1. The Strathearn Award for Lifetime Achievement
2. Payroll Manager of the Year
3. Payroll Employee of the Year
4. Payroll Administrator of the Year
5. Payroll Student of the Year
6. Payroll Team of the Year
7. Payroll Excellence in the Public Sector Award
8. Payroll Software Provider of the Year
9. Payroll Outsourcing Provider of the Year
10. Best Payroll Support Technology of the Year
11. Award for the Best Absence Management Strategy
12. Award for the Best Benefit Strategy
13. The Payroll Giving Award.
