A calculator to help employers calculate payments of SSP is now accessible on HMRC's website. The calculator takes users through the entitlement rules before calculating the payments based on the dates and other details entered. The calculator has, as a separate function, the facility to calculate whether or not any SSP can be recovered under the percentage threshold scheme.

We had hoped to do a more detailed review of the calculator but, so far, the calculator has only given us error messages. We will provide more information when we have been able to try it out.
