Internal Revenue Service - Interest rates on underpayments and overpayments
The Internal Revenue Service has announced there is no change in the interest rates for the calendar quarter beginning April 1, 2007. The interest rates are as follows:
- 8% for overpayments (7% in the case of a corporation)
- 8% for underpayments
- 10% for large corporate underpayments
- 5.5% for the portion of a corporate overpayment exceeding $10,000.
