Income tax treaty, US and Bangladesh
The Treasury Department has announced the signing of a new income tax treaty between the United States and the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The proposed treaty generally follows the pattern of the U.S. model tax treaty and recent U.S. tax treaties, including recent agreements with other developing countries. The proposed treaty will be sent to the Senate for its advice and consent to ratification. If the treaty enters into force, it will represent the first tax treaty in force between the two countries.
