The Department of Labor publishes copies of letters sent to enquirers to explain the application of various aspects of the rules set out in the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The following new opinion letters has been published on the DOL's website.

Creative professional exemption - discussion of whether employees whose work demands training, experience, levels of skill and freedom of expression perform work that is "original and creative in character in a recognized field of artistic endeavor."
