The DRS has published summaries of the changes to income tax withholding from January 1, 2005, as a result of 2004 legislation. Our newsletter of July 22, 2004 provided details of changes to the remittance rules that give new deadlines for paying over tax withheld by weekly, monthly and quarterly remitters. Full details of these changes and several worked examples are included in the Special Notice.

New withholding tables for 2005 have also been published.
