Louisiana - Tax Deadlines Extended for Ivan's Victims
The deadlines for individual income and corporation income and franchise taxes due between September 15, 2004 and September 30, 2004 have been extended to December 30, 2004 for taxpayers domiciled in any of the eight parishes declared Presidential Disaster Areas because of Hurricane Ivan.

The LDR is following the lead of the IRS by extending the deadlines until December 30 and will recognize all extensions granted to that date by the IRS. However, extensions granted by the state are only for taxpayers and businesses domiciled in one of the following parishes: Jefferson, Lafourche, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. Tammany, and Terrebonne.
