Tax relief for victims of storms and flooding
The list of counties that benefit from the special tax relief for taxpayers in the Presidential Disaster Area that was struck by severe storms and flooding beginning August 27, 2004 has been extended to include 5 additional counties. The full list is now as follows:
- 20 counties: Athens, Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Gallia, Guernsey, Harrison, Jefferson, Mahoning, Meigd, Monroe, Morgan, Muskingum, Noble, Perry, Stark, Trumbull, Tuscarawas, Vinton and Washington.

Tax relief for victims of hurricanes
Ohio residents and Ohio businesses suffering losses from storms related to recent hurricanes can get tax relief during the clean-up period through an extension of up to 45 days to file and pay Ohio taxes.
This extension is available for residents and businesses in the 15 counties that were declared federal disaster areas following flooding. The extension also applies to residents and businesses residing in a county in another state that is also a federally-declared disaster area as a result of the recent hurricanes and related storms.
Counties in Ohio affected by the declaration are: Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Guernsey, Harrison, Jefferson, Monroe, Morgan, Muskingum, Noble, Perry, Stark, Trumbull, Tuscarawas and Washington.
