Minimum wage increases to $7.00 from January 1, 2006 - District of Columbia

The minimum wage rate has increased to $7.00 per hour, effective January 1, 2006. The minimum service rate for tipped employees is $2.77, requiring employers to top us earnings if they average less than $7.00 per hour.
