The IRS has published seven Fact Sheets:

  1. Highlights - 2004 Tax Law Changes: Some recent tax law changes to consider when you preparing 2004 tax returns

  2. Free Tax Help Available: IRS assistance by computer, fax, telephone and in person for obtaining forms, publications and answers to a wide range of tax questions

  3. Tax Packages - 2005 Filing Season: 29.5 million tax packages and about 11 million computer-filing brochures were mailed this year

  4. 2005 IRS e-file - More than 61 million Americans chose IRS e-file options in 2004

  5. Electronic Payment Options for 2005: Taxpayers can pay taxes electronically by authorizing an e-pay option

  6. Sales Tax Deduction Option: Taxpayers have an option to claim state and local sales taxes instead of state and local income taxes when they itemize deductions

  7. A "Qualifying Child": A "qualifying child" may enable a taxpayer to claim several tax benefits.
