Botswana Payroll News - Employers encouraged to used different pay dates

A South African expert in banking, Colin Donian, has suggested that government and private sector employers opt for differing dates of payment in order to avoid congestion in banking halls at the end of each month.

An alternative approach, he said, is the installation of Non-ATM devices (NAD) in retail shops where customers can access their accounts without necessarily going to the banks. The system allows the customers to cash their money over the counter at the retail shops as long as availability of cash in the account was confirmed.
