Cabinet has approved amendments to the Income Tax Act, the Value Added Tax Decree and the Gambling Turnover Tax Decree. The amendments would effect changes announced in the 2005 Budget.

The amendments to the Income Tax Act would effect tax exemptions, deductions and allowances; and an increase in the income tax threshold from $7,500 to $8,840.
