Philippines Payroll News - October 31 and November 1 and 4 holidays

October 31 and November 1 are special national non-working days and November 4 is a regular national holiday. November 2 and 3 are regular working days.
The following rules apply for Monday, October 31, and Tuesday, November 1, 2005:
- If the day is unworked, the no pay policy applies unless there is a favorable company policy, practice or collective bargaining agreement granting payment on a special day even if it is unworked.
- If the day is worked, the pay is the employee's daily rate plus 30% for the first eight hours of work. For work in excess of eight hours, the rate is an additional 30% of the hourly rate on that day.
- If the day falls on the employee's rest day and is worked, the employee's daily rate plus 50% applies on the first eight hours of work. For work in excess of eight hours, the rate is an additional 30% of the hourly rate on that day.
The following rules apply for Friday, November 4:
- If the day is an employee's regular workday and the day is unworked, the employee should be paid 100% of regular salary for that day.
- If the day is worked, 200% applies on the first eight hours. For work in excess of eight hours, the rate is an additional 30% of the hourly rate on that day.
- If the day falls on the employee's rest day and is unworked, 100% applies. If the rest day is worked, the rate is an additional 30% of 200%. For work in excess of eight hours, the rate is an additional 30% of the hourly rate on that day.
