Subject:   Payslip Template
Poster: danhutson80

Hi all

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this query.

I'm after a quick and simple payslip template in Excel that I can use for ad-hoc payments. I have trawled through Google but most are part of a package or you have to pay for them. It must be able to show multiple allowances/deductions etc.

Does anybody have one they can send me or know of where I can find one?

Cheers
Dan

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone knows if Income Protection payments are NI'able? Currently we make payment for this type of cover to our employees via an arrangement which means 'pension' is payable, therefore, non-NI'able. However, this is due to change and the company are looking to make Income Protection payments to employees via the payroll.

Many thanks for your help
Kelly

Subject:   Implementation date for 2008 PAYE Thresholds
Poster: Mike Steer

Hi all you gurus

In previous years the PAYE thresholds have not been implemented until week 7, month 2 of the payroll year. I have not been able to locate any rules saying something different should happen this year, but it seems to me likely that with losing the 10% rate, the new thresholds should take effect from April 6th, week 1. Any thoughts?

Regards
Mike Steer

Subject:   Monthly paid leaver on 1.4.08 - help!
Poster: Alison Hull

Hi,

I have a monthly paid leaver whose last day is 1st April. I want to pay her 1 day's pay for April, on an April payslip (dated 30.4.08). I want to do her a P45 as at Month 1, and give her a P60 as a current employee. The question is, can I? If she is leaving before 5th April, is she entitled to a P60? And if she actually gets the cash on the day she leaves, so before 5th April, does that have a bearing? I'm hoping you will say that in this case practicalities come first!

Alison
