Subject: Days worked in Paternity Pay Period

I just want to check my understanding of a couple points regarding Statutory Paternity Pay and hope that somebody can help
1. Although the specification seems to allow for partial weeks to be calculated, I assume that SPP is not payable for anything other than a complete week. E.g. if the employee (working a 5-day week) only takes 4 days leave, SPP is not payable. Is this correct?
2. If the employee works during the PPP, does all eligibility for SPP cease? E.g. if, in the previous example, the employee took 5 days leave in the following period, would SPP be payable?
I know it seems a simple question but ...

Subject: Which year to tax pay in?

Hi
One of my clients operates a weekly payroll. Monday is pay day for the previous Monday to Friday. For the pay day Monday 7th April, do I treat this as 2007/2008 or 2008/2009? As pay day is in the new financial year I assume I treat as Week 1 of the new financial year but I suddenly thought hang on pay day may be in the new financial year but all pay will relate to work done in the 2007/2008 tax year!

Hi there
I have been meeting with P11d software companies to find a new supplier after PWC discontinued their software.
I have found the software to suit our needs, but before purchasing it, I was wondering if anyone on the forum has had any experience of using it? Its the P11d Organiser, by a company called PAS.
Any feedback or information on the P11d Organiser, good or bad would be much appreciated.
