Just what the Doctor ordered!

Payroll outsource specialist CCM, with offices in Mansfield have been awarded the contact to update the payroll and HR systems for The Practice, on the outskirts of London. The Practice run a fast expanding service, operating clinics and surgeries nationwide on behalf of PCTs and healthcare commissioners. They have implemented the LivePay web based service in order to provide more up to the minute management information and streamline the increasingly complex requirements. The solution includes specific requirements for reporting including GP pension reports.

Introduction for Newsletter 26.08.09

An important item this week is a series of “Myths and Realities” about Pension Personal Accounts, due to affect employers directly in 2012. The legislation is in place, most of the Regulations are out for consultation and the Personal Account Delivery Authority, the body responsible for the design and delivery of the scheme, is starting its programme of communication. The uphill struggle facing this year’s crop of GCSE school-leavers is looking ever steeper, according to the results of the latest quarterly CIPD/KPMG Labour Market Outlook (LMO) survey of more than 900 employers. It shows that 16 to 18 year-olds are currently less likely to be hired than the long-term unemployed, with a quarter of employers (24%) planning to hire from this age group during the current quarter. In contrast, almost two-thirds of employers (63%) are hiring from the 19-24 age category, with a similar proportion of employers planning to recruit older workers.
