On 5 June, the Government created the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS). The new Department merges the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR) and the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS).

Guidance on employment rights and employer obligations continues to be moved to the Directgov and Business Link websites.
