*Crown Prosecution Service, Treasury Solicitors, Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office and Serious Fraud Office use iTrent for integrated HR system*

Nottingham, 30th May 2008 - In a shining example of joint working, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), Treasury Solicitors (TSol), Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office (RCPO) and Serious Fraud Office (SFO), have gone live with a single, cost effective, integrated HR solution using the web-based iTrent solution from MidlandHR.

The system has been jointly implemented by the four departments, working closely with MidlandHR consultants to ensure it meets the specific requirements of each. They will all be able to take advantage of easy to use, web-based, integrated HR and payroll services, increased HR reporting abilities, and self service functions. In addition, they will be able to roll out applications such as training and absence management, to suits their individual needs.

Mark Summerfield, at the Crown Prosecution Service comments: “Working with MidlandHR, we have been able to deliver a joint working and shared contract arrangement between the four law departments, resulting in a
cost effective, integrated HR solution. Applications such as the reporting functions and self-service in particular will provide tighter control and clarity over absence, holiday and personal details - reducing the scope for error.

“Each department has gone live with a full personnel database, expanded with different functionality to meet their individual business requirements. The flexibility and ease of use of the web-based iTrent system has really helped this project become a success.”

As MidlandHR is authorised to host its services on the Government Secure Extranet (GSE), which is accessible to governmental departments and agencies connected to the Government Secure Intranet (GSi), it will be
able to use this connectivity to maintain the Law Officers’ system.

Lawrence Knowles, managing director of MidlandHR comments: “While customers have been taking advantage of our rental model for many years now, we’re increasingly seeing an increase in demand for hosted, web-based, software as a service that can be easily scaled up or down depending on specific needs.

“We’re delighted to be playing an important role in this ambitious and important initiative for the Law Officers Departments, by helping to facilitate this project, and look forward to opening up additional functionality within our web-based iTrent software solution,” concludes Knowles.
