PAYE Annual Returns - Online CD-ROM facility retained for a further year

The 2008 Employer CD-ROM, issued to employers towards the end of the 2007/08 tax year, provided the facility for employers to file their annual P14 and P35 Returns online if they had no more than nine employees at the end of the tax year.

HMRC has confirmed that this pilot proved successful and, following discussions with interested parties, has decided to provide the facility again for 2008/09 Returns on the 2009 Employer CD-ROM, to be sent to employers in February 2009. A decision will be made later on whether to continue to provide the facility beyond that.
