Republic of Ireland: Parking Levy in Urban Areas - New Revenue guidance document

The 2009 Budget made provision for the introduction of a levy, chargeable on employees for the use of parking facilities provided by employers in designated urban areas. The date from which the levy will be introduced has not yet been fixed.
The levy will be fixed annual charge of €200. The urban areas in which the levy will apply are Cork, Dublin, Galway, Limerick and Waterford.
Detailed guidance for employers and employees has been published on the Revenue website.
