Thomsons Online Benefits launch new online pension process with AXA & Scottish Widows

(London, 15th December 2008) Thomsons Online Benefits announce the launch of a new XML pension joining process with both AXA and Scottish Widows, which is available exclusively through its Perquisite™ software.
In addition to AXA and Scottish Widows, the Thomsons Perquisite™ platform already has XML links to AEGON Scottish Equitable, Friends Provident, Standard Life and Scottish Life.

Perquisite’s innovative online pension joining process enables straight through processing of an employee’s pension enrolment from their employer’s office, to the providers auto-fulfilment of the cancellation notice and policy document.

Michael Whitfield, Chief Executive Officer of Thomsons Online Benefits, comments: “We are delighted to add AXA and Scottish Widows to the list of pension providers where we have a signatureless online joining process. Since our inception we have pioneered XML integration as a way to remove unnecessary paper, cost and data errors from employee benefits administration. Next year, with pressures on employers to reduce costs and improve efficiency, this will be a real help to many employers out there. Also, with the advent of auto-enrolment under NPSS this continued and significant investment in our technology will pay even more dividends for those lucky enough to use it.”
