Hope to goodness I'm doing this properly. Here's my intro: I am Alison Hull, I own Macfarlane Hull Payroll and NannyMatters, with 230 clients, most of whom have only one employee. I've 24 years experience in payroll (remember Kalamazoo!) and might finally be getting the hang of it. I'm a Fellow of the Institute of Payroll Professionals, have tutored Fasttrack Diploma and lectured at Foundation and Diploma schools, also wrote Student Advice newsletter for a few years and - wait for it - the dreaded TMA6! I'm here because Qtac recommended you, and I need to talk to fellow professionals in particular about 08/09 budget changes. Thank you for having me!

Alison,

On behalf of Ian Congreave, who is apparently on holiday this week (tut), I welcome you to the forum and hope that you not only find answers from your friends and colleagues here but also post help for others from your own knowledge base.

I too was a tutor for the diploma and did this for nearly ten years until it was clear that it was time for qualified members to take over completely. As an aside I too wrote Student Advice for more years than I can remember, in fact I think I created the concept as part of the development of the magazine back in those dim, dark days.

We all look forward to see your name crop up regularly, it can be quite infectious this forum!
