Hello there! I'm an asian living in UK and work here. I applied thru Jobcentreplus and got an IT job. We were 2 hired last JUne but we got our wages only once. Our wages is monthly but our first wage was 2 weeks delayed. And month of JUly, we haven't received our wages yet. It is 3 weeks delay now. My officemate filed leave of absence and I did the same as I have realised that by first week of Sept, I need to be paid again. Our boss keeps on promising but always failed to do so. So I loose my hope and feel that our employer has no more intention to pay us. I am now feeling distress, he promised he will pay us next week, It cost about 2000£ or less (1 month and 3 weeks worked). I need my money, My Mom will celebrate her 81 bday and couldnt send any. My officemate also told me that boss will fly next week to other country.
Thanks in advanced for your reply.

Dear PB,

This is a very bad situation. You should go back to the Jobcentreplus immediately and tell them what has happened. Also, make an appointment immediately at the nearest branch of Citizens Advice Bureau - you will find the address and phone number in your local directory - and discuss the situation with an advisor. Take with you any paperwork you have on the job.

Thanks for your reply. I have wait my boss email today as tomorrow is his promise that he will pay us. But again, another promise made. He said he will try to make a request to his family to pay us by first week 0f Sept. This is his 4th promises and exactly 25 days delayed today.
My friend and husband gave an advise the same as yours. But still I have plan to go to Tribunal tomorrow despite of any objections from my inlaw.
Wish me luck.

I got 2 forms to be filled up from Jobcentreplus and CAB (Grievance). Hope this will help to claim our unpaid wages. Our boss sent email again and promise date is Sept 16, again. This is 5th promise and my collegue filed resignation. I will pursue the case until get paid. I had only 1£ and 70 pence in my pocket. He made me distress really.
