The ideal candidate will manage a staff of two handling in-house payroll for a $350M government contractor using the Deltek Costpoint system. Specific duties include:
* Manage all activities for the payroll department; resolve issues, streamline processes and establish procedures to improve efficiency.
* Ensure accurate/complete employee labor and payroll records/reports in accordance w/ company policy and labor regulations.
* Transition in-house payroll tax preparation to outsource provider; oversee compliance with requirements of outsource provider for payroll taxes.
* Provide performance planning, coaching and development for employees.
Job Requirements:
* BA/BS degree in Accounting or equivalent experience with 5-10 years of progressive experience processing/supervising payroll.
* 4+ years supervisory experience w/ multi-state in-house payroll in a government contracting environment.
* Expertise with payroll module of Deltek Costpoint system.
* Ability to apply basic accounting principles.
* Excellent customer service, analytical, interpersonal and people management skills.
* Experience with Deltek Electronic Timesheet experience preferred.
