hi
i have a problem with payroll.
i run others aplication but when they start, the shorcut open payroll
that is mi problem
i runing payroll in windows xp
i hope someone can help me.

David, thank you for your question.

It is a little difficult to understand what is happening from your question but you appear to be suggesting that, when you click on a shortcut for another application, located on your desktop presumably, your payroll opens instead. If that is the case, it sounds as if you have a problem running the other applications, not the payroll!

First, this is a payroll forum, not a PC technical forum. However, I can make two suggestions. If your shortcuts appear as icons on your desktop, right click on an empty part of the desktop and then left click on "Refresh". That should correct any incorrect links to the icons.

If that does not solve the problem, right click with your mouse on the icon that is wrong and then left click on "Properties". That will tell you which program the shortcut is linked to. If the "Target location" and "Target" are wrong, you can click on "Find Target" and search for the correct application for the shortcut.

I don't think we can help you beyond that. You may do better by simply asking for help from a colleague who has some experience with PCs.
