Community Action Network Signs CedarOpenAccounts
to Secure Charity's Expansion Plans (1st August, 2006)
|
CedarOpenAccounts (COA) has won a contract with Community Action Network (CAN), the UK's leading organisation for the development, promotion and support of social entrepreneurs, to provide a new financial management system which will save time on financial reporting and create a solid platform for the charity's future expansion plans.
Set up in 1998, CAN is one of the UK's leading national organisations for the support of social entrepreneurs and social enterprises. CAN decided to replace its existing Sage Line 50 accounting system with COA's OpenAccounts Financials system and Executive Desktop Reporting to enable the charity to increase its capabilities in servicing its members and integrate the accounts of several companies trading under the name of CAN. It chose the OpenAccounts Financials system because of its ease of use, powerful reporting system and established market presence in the charity sector.
"I was impressed with the COA OpenAccounts system's breadth of functionality which meant our investment would provide benefits immediately and in the future as the charity continues to change and expand," commented Kemi Joseph, Director of Finance of CAN. By vastly improving on our reporting processes, which currently takes days to move data into Excel, it will be far easier for the CAN management team to track financial performance. The finance team will be able to spend its time more productively on delivering improved services to our members
Go-live is planned for August 2006. COA is providing a full range of implementation services including assistance with data migration from the Sage Line 50 system and integration with CAN's payroll, income and banking systems.
