CIPD road show brings employers up to speed on the latest law changes
March 2008
The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) today announces a new set of dates for its spring workshops to give UK employers an insight into new employment legislation. The Law on Tour workshops, run by Chartered CIPD Fellows, are highly informative and practical one-day events designed to bring HR professionals up to speed with what's new in employment law.
This spring the tour will look at the new rules surrounding the Corporate Manslaughter Act, the extension of flexible working for parents of older children as well as the repeal of the dispute resolution procedures.
Mike Emmott, CIPD Employee Relations Adviser commented: "With new employment legislation constantly being introduced - and repealed - at both national and European level, it is more important than ever for HR practitioners to ensure that they know what the latest legislation requires of them.
"The Law on Tour workshops offer busy HR managers an easy way to get up to date with the latest news from the legislative world and share best practice with other HR professionals."
