MidlandHR prune Ringrose Law's payroll and HR processes with Trent's web-based platform
January 2008
Nottingham, 2 January 2008 - Ringrose Law, a leading Lincolnshire law firm, will tackle its payroll and HR issues head-on by implementing a hosted payroll and HR solution from MidlandHR. The web-based system will merge data from disparate HR and payroll systems to remove duplication, inaccuracies and conflicts of information.
Ringrose Law has outgrown its existing system through increases in staff and offices over the past few years. This has raised issues internally whereby data needs to be re-keyed, causing additional work and inaccuracies. An inflexible outsourced payroll service also means Ringrose Law currently has restricted access to its own payroll and employee information.
The implementation of the payroll system will take approximately three months with the first run scheduled for April 2008 to coincide with the start of Ringrose Law's financial year.
HR modules such as people development and absence management will be key in providing increased business intelligence. This information will give Ringrose Law more insight into the performance of each department, and allow for better business planning as a result of the in-depth management reporting that Trent produces.
"We recognised a need for the payroll and HR systems to be integrated so all employee information could be kept up-to-date more easily and the need for data re-keying and duplication eradicated. With the particular payroll service to which we outsourced, we had no control over the information provided. Trent's hosted web-based solution will mean we can access the system from any of our five locations, ensuring all personnel are using the system and allowing Ringrose Law to have complete ownership of the data.
"Additionally self-service options will give employees the opportunity to access their own holiday requests, which will reduce our administrative overhead.” comments Richard Georgeson, business development manager Ringrose Law.
"The value of business intelligence not only to law firms but to all professional services is invaluable. It is key that businesses start to measure this in order to make better strategic decisions when future planning for the company," adds Lawrence Knowles, managing director, MidlandHR.
