DORMA opens the door to Northgate HR

DORMA UK Ltd, the leading supplier of door controls, glass fittings, automatic door systems, movable walls and door service, is to implement Northgate HR's fully integrated HR and payroll solution, ResourceLink.

When ResourceLink is live in June this year the company which has over 400 employees across the UK and Ireland will operate two payrolls each with different tax years and legislative requirements, from a single database. This will simplify DORMA's existing payroll operation and enable HR to report on staff in the UK and Ireland at the same time.

It is also DORMA's intention to incorporate ResourceLink's self service functionality within their system during the first year of operation. This will allow employees and managers access to the system to submit timesheets, view payslips and personal records, as well as booking holiday and recording sickness. Managers will have access to more information on their staff and will be able to authorise their team's timesheets and submit them to HR department electronically. This will reduce the flow of paper and streamline their operation further.

During an extensive review of HR and payroll providers in the UK, Northgate HR was short listed along with 3 other providers.
