Inaugural meetings scheduled in three cities; new avenue for input developed as part of ongoing partnership with accounting professionals
Rochester, NY (November 2, 2005) - Paychex, Inc. has launched Accountant Advisory Boards in three cities across the United States. The new initiative is the latest enhancement of Paychex's long-time partnership with accounting professionals and provides Paychex with a new forum to gain valuable input on ways to best meet the needs of CPAs and their clients.
"From the time Paychex was founded in 1971, we have recognized the important role that accounting professionals play in advising small business owners," said Walter Turek, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Paychex.
"We are constantly working to understand the needs of CPAs and their clients and provide the best solutions to meet those needs," Turek added. "Our new Accountant Advisory Boards provide an excellent complement to our existing research efforts, which include an annual CPA survey."
The inaugural Paychex Accountant Advisory Boards have been convened in Atlanta, Georgia; Boston, Massachusetts; and Orange County, California. Each group will meet three to four times a year in a forum designed to provide a mutually beneficial exchange of ideas. Paychex has hired a third-party facilitator to conduct each session.
"The creation of the Accountant Advisory Boards is a great, unique idea," said Albert P. Lanzillotti, II, CPA, a member of the Accountant Advisory Board in Boston. "CPAs are one of Paychex's best resources because we know what our clients need, and through these sessions, we can provide valuable insight to Paychex. At the same time, the forum offers us a chance to speak with fellow CPAs about shared challenges, to obtain ideas we can take back to our practices."
In 2003, Paychex was selected as the preferred payroll provider for American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Business Solutions. The Paychex Partner Program from AICPA Business Solutions this year was expanded to include Paychex Major Market Services (MMS) - payroll and human resource services for businesses with more than 50 employees - as well as Paychex 401(k) Recordkeeping services.
