Paychex Ranked 40th on BusinessWeek 50 List of Best performing U.S. Companies
|
Rochester, NY (March 16, 2007) - Paychex, Inc. is among the 50 best performing companies in the United States, according to BusinessWeek magazine. Paychex, a leading provider of payroll and human resource services, ranked No. 40 on the 2007 BusinessWeek 50. The companies on that list represent the magazine's selections as the "best in class" from each of the 10 sectors of the Standard & Poor's 500 stock index.
"Paychex is honored to be part of this prestigious list," said Jonathan J. Judge, Paychex president and CEO. "This is a terrific recognition of the commitment we make every day to provide our 543,000 clients with the best products and services and to create exceptional value for our shareholders."
In announcing its 11th annual BusinessWeek 50, the magazine wrote that, "The Class of 2007 is chock full of companies that are rewriting the rules of engagement in their industries. They are the agitators, the pioneers, and the game changers that are leading the way in the 21st century."
To compile the BW50, BusinessWeek uses a proprietary process that this year focused on two key measures: how well each company's management has been using the capital at its disposal and sales growth. The 2007 BW50 is in the March 26 issue of BusinessWeek. Additional content can be found at www.businessweek.com/bw50.
