Paychex Signs Sponsorship Deal with Pro Golfer Danielle Downey

LPGA member joins six-time PGA winner Jeff Sluman as part of Paychex golf family

Rochester, NY (April 18, 2007) - Paychex, Inc. has signed a two-year sponsorship agreement with professional golfer Danielle Downey. The LPGA member today joined Paychex President and CEO Jonathan J. Judge for the announcement, made at Paychex headquarters in Rochester, New York.

Downey, who now lives in Land O' Lakes, Florida, is a native of Spencerport, New York, a Rochester suburb. The three-time New York State Amateur Championship winner is in her second year on the LPGA Tour.

Paychex signed a sponsorship agreement with another Rochester native early in his career: six-time PGA winner Jeff Sluman. Paychex last year marked the 20th anniversary of that relationship by signing a lifetime sponsorship contract with Sluman.

"Paychex is very proud of its Rochester roots, and our sponsorship agreement with Danielle gives us another opportunity to support one of our community's great athletes," said Judge. "Danielle is a terrific person with a real possibility of being very successful on the LPGA Tour; we're trying to help her have a chance to be great."

Under terms of the sponsorship agreement, Paychex will be Downey's sole hat and golf bag sponsor.

"I'm thrilled to become part of the Paychex team," Downey said. "My experience so far has been awesome, and I look forward to working with the company into the future."

About Danielle Downey

In 2006, Downey played 14 events on the Duramed FUTURES Tour - the official developmental tour of the LPGA - earning four top-10 finishes. A graduate of Auburn University in Alabama, Downey won three tournaments while in college, including the 2000 Southeastern Conference (SEC) Individual Championship. Among other accomplishments, she was runner-up in the 2002 NCAA Women's Golf Championship, a two-time NCAA All-American, and a four-time SEC All-Conference selection.
