Topaz Launching Bursary Fund For IPP Diploma In Payroll Management

Topaz has linked up with the Institute of Payroll Professionals (IPP) to provide a bursary fund for a Diploma in Payroll Management, which will be officially launched at Softworld on October 18, 2006.

The bursary being offered by the payroll, HR and financial software company is to cover the total cost of the two year course at the prevailing rates of the IPP and a period of nominations will be running from Softworld in October to the Softworld event in February 2007.

Candidates may be initially nominated by their employer directly, by colleagues or by self nomination, but in all cases with the approval of their employer. All nominations will be considered by Topaz with those selected being put forward to the IPP for final selection.

A winner will be announced at the end of April 2007 ahead of the two year course, which is scheduled to begin in September 2007.

"Topaz is the only company offering this kind of bursary and it reflects the fact that we are not just interested in supplying software, but we have an interest in the people that use it," says Keith Brown, Topaz EMS Business Development Manager.

"We are delighted to be teaming up with the IPP to provide the bursary funding commitment to an individual for two years to help further their career in the payroll industry. It's a fantastic opportunity for the winning individual to develop without the financial implications for either the individual or their employer."

The IPP, which is the leading provider of qualifications, training and consultancy for payroll and pensions, has just changed its name having previously been known as the Institute of Payroll and Pensions Management (IPPM).
