Topaz EMS enhancements, which promote significant savings in time and resources for payroll and HR departments, are being promoted during Softworld.
The leading integrated solution will be on display on Topaz Stand 2 at the forthcoming Softworld HR and Payroll Exhibition, 21-22 February, which is being held at London Novotel West, Hammersmith.
Topaz EMS enhanced integrated technology not only provides valuable time savings but also advanced reporting capabilities and increased efficiency, which is proving to be an attraction for companies looking to improve their payroll and HR activities.

New developments for Topaz EMS on display at Softworld will include -
- Establishment Budgeting/Manpower Planning facility ensuring that year on year
budgeting can now be created with comparisons to previous years, along with a
wealth of analysis and reporting from detailed post histories including succession
planning.
- Dashboard Management (Graphical Reporting) is another boost for efficiency
with up-to-the-minute real time reporting functions without the need to write reports.
Data is provided in real time using graphs, bars or pie charts covering key areas such
as headcounts, attendance and diversity; in fact and data contained within the
database maybe displayed in this manner.
- The Enhanced Recruitment facilities provide full automation of the recruitment
process with many new features such as a ‘Campaign Diary’ - allowing users to
monitor and control the progress of individuals by diarising interviews, requesting
CRB or other checks (diversity etc) in line with company policy. Campaigns are fully
audited and reportable providing a timely, controlled and efficient process.
- Enhanced Absence and Lateness procedures will include automatic email notification via workflow of all absence and lateness in contravention of Company policy. Profiles of absence and lateness are user defined to the system with reference to the prevailing policies or rules. This means that management will have pro active notifications of any breaches of policy.
The Topaz team will also be highlighting how the solution's 'Employee Self Service' facilities maybe utilised to provide dramatic efficiencies in management and employee communications.
Functionality has been enhanced with 'Time Sheet Entry and Creation; allowing employees to create time sheets for manager approval for individual time spent on projects or tasks. These pass through an authorisation process before automated payment or cost apportionment in payroll processing.
Employee Controlled Bank Details Change, the onerous task of changing bank details has now passed back to the employee in self service; they may change, correct and or request split of salary into multiple bank accounts if the Company are wiling to provide that function.
Published Documents, this functionality ensures that all documentation published to employees is recorded, acknowledged and reviewed by employees. Management may report on this information and the employees whom have received any published documents.
Additions to the already significant library of user defined HR reports are: Training Attendance, Planned Training, Training Needs Analysis, Training Statistics, Sickness Statistics, Missing Sickness Certificate Report along with Recruitment and Campaign costs reporting add more value to Topaz EMS and it highly functional core facilities.
Topaz will also be using the Softworld event to distribute nomination forms from Stand 2 for a £4,000 Topaz Bursary Fund for a Diploma in Payroll Management. The fund will cover the cost of the course fees for the two year Institute of Payroll Professionals (IPP) course and nomination forms can also be requested from laurie.chivers@topaz.co.uk
