Topaz Customer Day Boosts Oxfam Tree Planting Scheme
July 2007
Topaz has made a donation of 2,500 trees to boost an Oxfam environmental initiative, following the company's most successful Customer Day at Whittlebury Hall, Northamptonshire.
The tree contribution was based on attendance by Topaz EMS, Topaz Financials and Topaz Credit Control customers at the annual event and will benefit countries such as Ethiopia, where the planting of trees allows communities to help themselves.
"Our donation of 2,500 trees will create many benefits for years to come and represents growth, which was a central business message during our Customer Day as part of the 'Work Smarter not Harder' theme." says Paul Ross, Topaz Senior Account Manager.
"As well as providing natural shelter and food resources, the trees also make a big impact on the local environment as they have an important function of slowing down soil erosion.
"On behalf of Topaz and Oxfam, I would like to thank our customers who attended our annual event and helped to boost this worthy environmental charity scheme."
Speakers at the Customer Day included Ian Holloway, the IPP's Policy & Research Officer, David Lennan, BusinessHR Managing Director, and Damian Wild, VNU Group Editor in Chief.
During the event Topaz also hosted a 'Customer Awards Ceremony' and winners were -
