Community Blood Center Selects Ultimate Software's Intersourcing for Several UltiPro Products
April 2006
WESTON, Fla. - Ultimate Software, a leading provider of end-to-end strategic human resources, payroll, and talent management solutions, announced today that Community Blood Center of Dayton, Ohio, has selected Ultimate Software's Intersourcing service model for UltiPro's core HRMS/Payroll, Time and Attendance, and Talent Management components, Recruitment and Performance Management.
Community Blood Center has been using a payroll service bureau but decided to investigate other options. During the company's due diligence process, decision makers learned about Ultimate Software's hosted service model, Intersourcing, that would not require support from Community Blood Center's IT department and included significant new functionality for management of talent from recruitment to retirement, along with business intelligence reporting and Web tools for employees and managers. Impressed with Ultimate's customer service track record that included two national awards in 2006, Community Blood Center chose UltiPro in December 2006.
"Intersourcing was the primary decision driver for us in our selection of Ultimate Software. With Intersourcing, Ultimate Software hosts its own products, so we do not have to use our own IT resources or a third-party hosting service," said Timothy Johnson, Controller for Community Blood Center. "We spoke with many customers who were very pleased with Intersourcing and Ultimate Software's support, so we feel confident moving forward."
Customers who use Intersourcing do not need to manage the responsibility associated with upgrades, daily maintenance, or hardware because Ultimate Software handles these responsibilities. Available on a per-employee-per-month basis, Intersourcing gives customers 24-7 access to complete functionality and a library of more than 600 reports over the Web.
"We are excited about automating more of our time and attendance practices and generating meaningful customized reports quickly so management has real-time access to analytics for forecasting and decision support," said Johnson. "Our implementation is proceeding well, and we look forward to a long and successful relationship with Ultimate Software."
"We are very happy that Community Blood Center selected Ultimate Software," said Greg Swick, senior vice president of sales for Ultimate Software. "Community Blood Center's investigation into other Ultimate Software customers' experiences as a key part of its due diligence is something we're seeing a lot of companies do, and we think it's a wise practice. Current customers of any vendor know best how well a product and its support services function on a day-to-day basis."
